Account verification / know your customer (KYC)
To verify your identity and accomplish our global KYC verification, we require you to submit a valid Proof of Identity and a valid Proof of Address. If you do not have these documents assembled, you can log back in later to complete the registration process and upload the required document(s).
Why is KYC verification required to open an account with Stably?
KYC Compliance is a required Customer Identification Program (CIP) in which U.S. financial institutions must verify the identity of individuals wishing to conduct financial transactions with them.
KYC helps financial institutions (and other businesses) answer the question, “Is this person real?” As a consumer, KYC is an essential step in the onboarding process that verifies your identity and helps protect you against identity theft, synthetic identity fraud, and more.
